Maisha niliyo yapitia na bado ninayaishi.ni maisha ya umaskini mimi wenzangu na pia wakaji wa hapa ninapo ishi tunaishi maisha ya umaskini.

Mimi huwa natembea maeneo mengi mashinani kwani mimi pia nimzaliwa huko na kulelewa huko. Mimi huwa nikitembea nione vile kwingine kulivyo au nitofauti na niliko toka mimi hupata maisha ni yale yale niliyo yazoea kuyaishi.

Kupata chakula huwa ni shida pia mahali pa kulala vilevile huwa ni kama hadithi ambayo haina  mwisho wake usio julikana. Mimi mwenyewe umaskini nimeupitia na hata wakati huu mimi huwa maskini ninaishi maisha hayo na ninapo ishi maisha haya huwa mimi si furahii kuishi maisha kama haya.

Ninapo waona maskini wenzangu kwanza walio zidiwa na umaskini zaidi mimi huwa nina udhika. Mimi nimezaliwa kwa mahali palipo na shida na kule niliko pitia shida huwa zinaniandama. Isipo tu,mahali ulipo zaliwa vile utakavyo pata,kama bado hauna uwezo kimapato ya kuibadilisha, palivyo ndivyo utakavyoishi.

Umasikini unapo zidi, mahitaji mengi yaliyo muhimu maishani huathirika vile vile. Mfano ni, watoto waliolewa katika umasikini, masomo yao wakati mwingine hupata pigo kubwa,kwa vile wavyele wao hawana uwezo wa kugharamia mahitaji za shule. Sio tu hayo, wengi wao huacha shule sababu ya njaa, na badala yake huanza kufanya kazi za sulubu ili waweze pata kitu cha kuteremsha vinywani.

Mtu hafi akiwa maskini,ikiwa kuna mafanikio. Ni shukrani kubwa kwa Undugu Society of Kenya, kwa kuweza kutuelimisha na ni matumaini yetu ya kwamba, siku za usoni, tutaweza kutazama na kuishi maisha mema. Wamewezesha wengi wetu kupata maarifa zaidi, na kwa sasa, twaweza kuzungumza na kuandika kwa lugha ya kingereza na Kiswahili. Heko kwenyu!

Serikali ingeweza kufanya pia wao vile vile, tutaweza kukumba shida ya ugonjwa wa kutosoma nchini Kenya.

Wavyele wanapofanikiwa na kuwapata watoto, wao huwa na furaha mpwito mpwito, kwani, mtoto huchukuliwa kama baraka kubwa katika jamii.

Jambo linalostaajabisha zaidi na kugutusha mno ni kwamba, umaskini umezidi na kupita mizizi, hadi watoto wanaoletwa ulimwenguni wanaangaamia zaidi na kuwa balaa katika jamii.

Umasikini unazidi kila siku uchao nchini Kenya, ilhali nchi yetu inasifika kote ulimwenguni, sio tu kwa minajili ya ustaarabu, bali kwasababu ya watu wakakamavu.Ilhali nchini tumekumbwa na shida za wasiojiweza kifedha.

Wanao fanya kazi za mikono ili angalau waweze kujikimu maishani, wanataabika zaidi kwa vile malipo zao ni duni na haziwezi kuwanufaisha kimaendeleo.Umasikini umewaathiri, mavazi wanazo vaa yameraruka raru raru na viraka viko kote.
Haimanishi kwamba nchini kila mtu hajiwezi kifedha, lakini waliojaliwa  kifedha, hawana budi kuwasaidia wanaohitaji. Ubinafsi umethiri undugu.

Hawana fedha kutokana na ukame ulioathiri mimea na kwa sasa hawana cha kuvuna.Ni jukumu la serikali kuweka warsha ili iweze kuwafunza wananchi umuhimu wa kupanda miti, kwa vile huchangia pakubwa katika umuhimu wa mvua.

Serikali kumudu shughuli ya kuwapa watu msaada wa chakula, sio jambo bora zaidi, kwa vile wananchi watakuwa  tu wategemeaji msaada badala ya kutafuta suluhisho wa shida zinazowakumba.Hata hivyo, kama wananchi, tuwe watu wanaojali masilahi ya wengine, kwani, umoja ni nguvu na utengano ni udhaifu.

Born To Suffer

Poverty is still continuing to destroy many people every day. Kenya is a good country which is united and has peace but many people leave beyond poverty line that makes them not to be able to be stable.

If you look how people leave they show that poverty is still continuing to destroy them, if you look the way they dress their clothes are teared and they do not have some to help them but only themselve.

When you look at those people who are stable you will think that there are no people who live beyond poverty line but if you pass where they live you will see how they are and how they are suffering.

I would like the government to try and help those people who live beyond poverty line so that it can decrease, this will make them not to live in poverty line. If you look in the rural areas many people are suffering from hunger because of lack of  rain, the government should tell people the importance of planting trees so that the trees will attract rain and the hunger will reduce.

Many people are dying because of hunger, the government should help them to get basic needs so that they can survive, you should help your neighbor because all of us we live in peace and love but when we come to help everyone takes his own way.

Tangu serikali ilipochukua jukumu ya kuanzisha elimu ya bure ili iweze kuwanufaisha wanafunzi kimasomo na pia kuondolea wazazi gharama ya kulipa karo, hasa kwa wasiojiweza, wengi wa wananchi walijawa na ghaya bashasha.

Kwangu, kibinafsi, ilikuwa jambo la busara, kwa vile sikufanikiwa kuhitimu masomo yangu wakati ulikuwa unafaa, kwa vile nilizaliwa na kulelewa na wavyele wasiojiweza kifedha. Tulikuwa watoto tisa, na hakuna moja wetu aliyeweza  kukamilisha masomo ya shule ya msingi.

Angalau, idadi ya  watoto ambao huranda randa mjini ingeweza kupunguka ikianzia mimi. Niliamua kujiunga na shule ya msingi iliokuwa katika kitongoji duni, ilhali nilikuwa mwanafunzi wa miaka kadhaa nilionelea heri niweze pata maarifa zaidi shuleni itakayonisaidia siku za usoni.

Wenzangu pia walijiunga na shule ya msingi wakaacha maisha ya kurandaranda mjini. Hapo awali, masomo yalikuwa shwari na tukaweza pata elimu ambayo hatukuwa tumedhania tutawahi bahatika kupata.

Vile muda ulizidi kuyoyoma, ndipo wanafunzi wengi waliendelea kujiunga nasi,na ndipo madarasa yakajaa pomo pomo, ilhali hawakuongezea walimu, idadi yao ilibakia  kama ilivyokuwa hapo awali.

Jambo hili ilianza kuwa hasara kwa wengine wetu, kwa vile kufahamu mambo darasani ilianza kudidimia, kwa kukosa kuhudumiwa kibinafsi. Kwani, watu huwatofauti katika kupata fahamu darasani.

Ni shukrani kubwa sana kwa serikali kwa kugharamia mahitaji ya wanafunzi, ilhali, ndio iweze kuboresha zaidi hili miradi ya masomo ya bure, wanapaswa kuzingatia maswala yanayopendekezwa na walimu pamoja na wanafuzi, ndiposa sisi sote tufaidike maishani kutokana na hii mradi wa elimu bure.

Hongera pia ni kwa shirika ya Undugu Society of Kenya, kwa vile wametukimu na kutufaidisha kimasomo, bila hao, wengi wetu hawangeweza tarajia kuwa na maisha bora siku za usoni. Wameweza tuletea ngao ya maisha, ambapo tunawashukuru sana kwa vyovyote vile.

Free Education

When the government introduced free education many people were happy because they did not have much money to pay school fees because many people here in Kenya live beyond poverty line. There before you could work in the streets and find many children loitering who are not in school and are supposed to be in school.

The government did some thing good to remember these children who do not have the chance to go to school because of lack of school fees. Since the government has introduced free education when you visit many government schools you will find the classes are loaded.

Many children are happy when they are at school learning with their friends together. What makes me wonder is that when you visit these government schools you will find many children are happy although the way they sit in class is not good since they are loaded.

In these schools students are loaded and this makes them to feel uncomfortable since the class is small and there is no fresh air in that class, especially when it is a sunny day it becomes too hot for them.

When you look at the classes when the students are leaning you find that there is only one teacher and the students are many. This makes the students not to understand the material well but if they are not too many it will easier them to understand what the teacher is teaching.

What I would like to say is that the government to do something so that the number of students can be reduced and they can learn without being loaded. The government should also increase the number of teachers per school since the education is free and many children have gone to school to learn.

Education is good so the government did something positive to introduce free education especially those children who live beyond poverty since they lack the chance to be educated.

Unapo angalia kwa watu wengi walio zaliwa kwenye umaskini. Watoto huwa elimu hawaipati inavyofa  kwakua. Unapata elimu haitiliwi manani sana kwakua uwezo hawana wa kutosha. Watoto huwa hawa kwendi shuleni kwa kukosa wana chokihitaji hakipatikani kama chakula  kukosa mambo mengi ambayo uwezi kusoma yasipo. Pia vijana wengi hulala inje. Hayo maisha mimi nimeyapitia na bado mimi huya ishi sijaya aga na mimi huwa hayanipendezi.

Maisha kama haya mimi nime yazoea nanikiwa hivi huwa ninajua mambo yote na
mipangilio ya binadamu huwa ni mapenzi ya mungu.

Kile ambacho ningependa kusema ni yakwamba undugu hiendelee kuinua vijana na kuwa elimisha kimaisha nayo serikali ningependa iwashugulikie kimasomo maskini wasio jiweza kimaisha. Ikiwashugulikia kimasomo wengi wao watasoma na kubadilisha maisha yao ya usoni pamoja na jamii zao. Naitakua ni rahisi kuhaga umaskini. Uko kwenye umaskini diko mimi ninaishi na pia kuzaliwana kulelewa huko hadi nikakua vile nilivyo isipo kua sija uhaga umaskini.

Serikali ijaribu kuwainua kielimu hiyo dio swala wangesaidia maskini kuuhaga kwa wale watakao tilia maanani.

Loitering Without Being Successful

The life which I have passed and I’ m still passing through is poverty me and my friends and the residence of where I stay. To get food and shelter is a problem, which is like a story without an end. Me myself I have passed through poverty and still now I m living this life and I’m not happy about this life.

When I see other people who are like me and are in more poverty situation than me I get sad. I was born in a poor family where there is poverty so the place where you will be born will remain like that the way you found it and the way you will leave. 

If you look at people who are born in poor family, their children do not get education the way it is supposed to be. They do not get into education more because they lack enough money if they need to buy anything like food, school fees and also many street children sleep outside and I have passed this life and I don’t like it.

This life I have been adapted and I know many things, for someone to live it God’s wished and plans. All what I can say is that Undugu to continue helping street associations by educating them with life skills and the government to educate the poor one who live in slums and this will make them have a better life in the future including the society at large.

 There where there is poverty I have grown up there and I’m still there the way I’m even if I have not come out. The government should try to help those who live on slums since this is the problem.

Humu nchini, neno taka sio neno geni hasa, kwa wakaazi wa jiji, ambao wamezoea kuona  taka kila wapitapo na waendako.Wengi wao hutupa au hupita taka bila ya kutojali maadhara za  taka zinazoweza kuhatarisha afya  zao.

Ingekuwa jambo la busara, ikiwa mitaro zote mitaani zingeweza safishwa na maji chafu kuondolewa, watu watupe taka kwa maeneo yaliyotengewa kazi hiyo, isiyo  karibu na mahali watu wanaishi. Hata hivyo, ingekuwa bora zaidi ikiwa mito za maji chafu yangesafishwa ndio wakaaji waweze kutumia maji hayo hasa wakati wa ukame kama huu.

Hata hivyo, sehemu zinazotengewa  vibanda vya chakula, vinapaswa kuwa safi mno, kwa vile ni rahisi sana watu wapate maradhi ya kipindupindu,sababu ya kula chakula na kunywa maji machafu.

Sio tu hayo, wanadamu pia wapaswa kushughulikia mno mazingira, kwa vile wengi wao wamechangia pakubwa kwa kuichafua. Vifaa vingi wanadamu wanatumia bila ya kutojali,kama vile msalani, utumizi mbaya hufanya wengi wasambaze magonjwa yanayotokana na uchafu.

Pia, wakaaji wa eneo ya vitongoji duni, wanapaswa kuzingatia usafi wakati wote, sababu ni maeneo hayo ndio yana huu shida wa uchafu kwenye mazingira.

Dangerous Diseases Which are Caused by Dirty Environment

Here in Kenya especially in Nairobi there is dirty environment of which is not good to for human being to live in a dirty environment like. Dirty environment is not good for human healthy to live in because it can cause many diseases, which are brought by dirty environment.

For instance there is those toilets which are not clean and also sewage which are liking and you find dumping of garbage at this places when you are walking around this place the air is polluted and this make people to inhale and this can cause dangerous diseases to many people.

People who live in such places do not care about being infected by dangerous diseases. There is also small hotels which are build where is dirty and also where there is dirty water flowing all over. The city council does not care about where people eat their food and also live.

The rivers, which passes through Nairobi, has polluted water where many people damage their garbage every day and do their dairy work without care. When you look at this water it is dirty and the people who live near this river do not care about outbreak of dangerous diseases.

When you look at this rivers there is garbage and you will think this is a damping site. Dangerous diseases like cholera, malaria and typhoid can be a big problem in such areas.

The place where human being should live is where there is clean environment so that they can prevent themselves from dangerous diseases. Those people who live in slums many see them living in a dirty environment because they do not have the ability clean up the environment. Dirty brings diseases while cleanness is go to healthy.

I’m pleading to the government to contribute cleaning up the environment so that people can stop dumping garbage every where and this will reduce the diseases which are brought by dirty environment.

Uchafu huwa ni mazingira mbaya ikiwa eneo  binadamu wanaishi hio ni kuhatarisha kwa mangojwa ambayo inaletwa na uchafu.

Kama vile mitaro yenye maji machafu  vyoo visio kua visafi hunapata takataka zinatupwa kwenye varanda za nyumba kwenye njia,.Unapata ukitembea unasikia harufu isio faa inanuka. Ambayo ni ya uchafu ulioko katika maeneo hayo na hapo dipo mangonjwa yanatokea na kuangamiza watu.

Watu wenye huisi sehemu kama hizi hawajari kupatwa na magonjwa hatari kwa              kuna hoteli ambazo zimejengwa sehemu ambazo zina uchafu zaidi zimejengwa kando ya mitaro ambayoina uchafu  mwingi kupidukia .Pia viwanda na wanao hudumu hawajali yakwamba uchafu ni hatari sana mahali watu wanakulia na pia wanapo hishi.
                                                                                
Mito inayo pitia katikati  mwa jiji  Nairobi ni mito ambayo inayo uchafu mtupu na watu waishi uko wafanyia shuguli zao za kila siku sehemu ambazo zimezingirwa na     uchafu.Mito yenyewe hutumika kama mahali ambapo nipakutupa takataka.Ukitazama hizo mito mitaroyote inapeleka  uchafu huo kwenye hiyo mito ukitazama yale maji ni     machafu takataka hata yaeleweki na wakaaji hawajali hata.magonjwa.

Ukiangalia uchafu ulio maeneo mengi ya mito nikama uko dio kwenye mbolea mangonjwa  mengi yanayo kuwa hatari kama vile malaria kipindupindu na mengine mengi nisiyo yataja.Mito yenyewe huko ilio azia ni safi  lakini inapo fika jiji maji yana badilika na kua maji machafu.

Maeneo ambayo binadamu anapaswa kukaa pia kuishi ni mahali ambapo ni pasafi ili ujiepushe marathi. Masikini huonekana akiwa na uchafu  kwakua hana uwezo wa kuishi mahali  ambapo ni mahali pahali ya juu vile ningependa kusema ni yakwamba kukinga huwa ni afadhali kulikokuponya.Uchafu ni ugonjwa na usafi ni afya bora.

Nigependa serikali isaidie mazingira ya jiji uchafu uache kutapakaa kila mahali hili mangonjwa yanayo letwa na uchafu iweze kupungua.

Dangerours Disease Which Are Brought By Dirty Enviroment

 Here in Kenya especially in Nairobi there is dirty environment which is not good for human being settlement and also it is not good for human being to live in a dirty environment.

Dirty environment is bad because it can cause diseases which are brought by polluted environment.
For instance dirty water, dirty toilets and linking sewages pollute the air and this can cause outbreak of diseases which can cause deaths to people living in that particular area.

Those people who leave in such places do not care about outbreak of diseases like cholera, typhoid and malaria. These diseases come out as a result of dirty food, dirty water and dirty toilets.
                                                      
 The Nairobi River is so pollute and still people are living near the river and are still continuing dumping garbage in this river. The residences do not care about dangerous disease which can cause many deaths.

If you look at such places where there is river many people dump their waste there without caring for the environment and also diseases like malaria, cholera, typhoid and many others.

The place where human being should live is where the environment cleans so that they can prevent themselves from dangerous diseases. I would like to say that prevention is better than cure.

 I’ m pleading to the government to assist to clean up environment every where so that those disease which are brought by dirty environment can reduce.

Kuhusu  vijana mitaani.vijana wengi  mitaani hawana kazi huwa kazi yao ni Wengi wao wanahaza kutumia madawa ya kulevya kufanya mambo yasio faa. kurandaranda na kupoteza mwelekeo.maisha ya wengi wao hinakua mangumu zaidi. Hunapata vijana wengi wanao hishi kwenye jiji hawaogi, hawabadilishi mavazi.wengine wao wamezaliwa kwenye jiji, wengine walitoroka nyumbani kwao nawengine hawana matarajio ya kubadilika, Pia kunawengine ni mayatima wengine wana ile ujanja ya kutoka chini na kubadilika kimaisha.

Kwenye jiji vijana huwa wamechanganyika walio soma wasio soma hunapata vijana walio na masomo ya hali ya juu na wako pale.

Kama vile undugu kwa kuwaelimisha kimaisha kutoka pasio faa na kwenda juu sio wote wanakubaliana na maneno ya undugu.madawa na ulevi zote wanazo tumia kwakweli hazifai hata kidogo

Kile ambacho nigelitaka kuwahambia ni yakwamba vijana tuchanuke na tuache mambo ya ulevi ,wizi na ile riziki mtu anayo ahitumie bila kutaka vya bure wao kuishi kama mtu aliye jishidwa kujimudu kimaisha. Vijana kueni na imani yakwamba mnaweza jambo lolote.

About Street Children

Many youths in my base do not have jobs and their work is use drugs and to do things, which are not, supposed to be done. Loitering and losing direction of life and this makes their life become hard.

Many youths who live in street do not take birth and do not change their clothes and some of them were born in the streets, others run away from their homes and some do not have hope to change their life. There are those who are orphans and some change their way of life as they grow up.

In the streets you will find many youth who are mix up there are those who are educate and who are not educate and are still there.

for instance  undugu has educated them through skills training and also education and this makes them to be different from coming out of streets. There are those who do not accept this chances and stay in the street abusing drugs, which is not acceptable at all.

what I would like to say is that youths should stop drugs and stealing so that the life which you have you can do something in steady of staying like you can’t do something for your self. Youths should have hope and you can do anything to make your life bright.

Huku maeneo ya Nairobi. Kuna uchafu nyingi sana. Inayo leta madhara ya ugonjwa kama maralia.

Ukitembea maeneo mengi watu wanakaa karibu na uchafu usio faa hata.

Mitaro yenye maji machafu vyoo vyenye uchafu unao honekana na harufu mbaya zaid. Takataka zinazo toa harufu mbaya zaidi. Mahali hambapo zinatupwa ni karibu namahali ambapo watu wanaishi nahiyo ni kuatarisha afha yako. Pia hoteli zigine zimejengwa maeneo yenye uchafu hunao weza kusababisha magonjwa yasio faa. kando ya mito ilio maji machafu zaidi.

Mito ya mji wa nairobi hasa utumiwa kama mahali ambapo ni pakutupa takataka. Ukitazamiahizo mito hunaona hayo maji ni machafu zaidi.Uchafu wa takataka hilio tupwa kwenyehiyo maji.

Ukiangali uchafu ulioko maeneo mengi ya mito ya jiji la nairobi ni hatari kwa afha ya binadamu. Magonjwa mengi yanayo kuwa mara kwa mara kutokana na uchafu. Magonjwa kama maralia.Kipindupindu na mengine.Nisio yataja.Hayo yote yanatokana na uchafu.

Kwenye maeneo yasio faa binadamu kuwepo huko diko watu wanaishi.Mito inayo pitia katika mnji wa nairobi huko iliko toka maji hayo ni masafi.Lakini zinapo fikia maeneo ya mnji. Maji hayo uchafuka yanajawa na taataka huko ndani. Na pia mitaro inayo tumika maji hayo yote uelekea huko kwenye mto na kuzidisha uchafu kwenye eneo hilo.

Effects of a Dirty Environment

In many parts of Nairobi, there is a lot of trash that brings bad effects such as diseases like malaria.

When you visit different parts of the city, you will see many people living near trash, which is not right.

There is stagnant sewage, toilets that are visibly dirty, and a very bad smell. Garbage smells the worse of all. People live near where the trash is dumped and this causes harm to their health. Some hotels are constructed in places near dumpsites, which causes diseases. This happens near river banks with dirty water.

Rivers in Nairobi are usually used as dumpsites. When you look at these rivers, you see the very dirty water. The trash is just thrown in the river.

If you look at the different rivers of Nairobi, you will see trash that is harmful to human health. Frequent outbreaks of common diseases are due to this trash. Diseases like malaria, cholera and others are all caused by this trash.

Many people live in places that are unfit for human habitation. The sources of rivers passing through Nairobi are very clean but when they approach the city, they become dirty because a lot trash is dumped into them. In addition, the drainage system is channeled towards the rivers, adding to the dirtiness of the water.

Nilipo kuwa mdogo nikishi na wazazi wangu nyumbani, nilikuwa ninaishi vizuri sana maisha ya kuvutia. Nilipo fika umri wa kwenda shule nilienda shuleni. Nilipo pelekwa shuleni nilijua kusoma na kuandika.

Niliaanza kujua dunia ni nini, akili zangu ilinidanganya nikatoroka nyumbani na kuacha shule na kuelekea kwenye maisha mabaya ya kuishi inje, na kulala pia. Nikaanza kuokata kwa pipa mavazi yakaniishia, chakula pia ikawa nishida, kulala nilikula ninalala kwa pipa na pia kuoga sikuwa ninaweza kuoga, kwa sababu sikuwa na haja ya kuoga. Nilikuwa nikitumia vitu vingi haina baya za kulevya. Nilipo kuwa ninaendelea na hayo maisha nilipatana na kijana mmoja ambaye nilikuwa nikisoma na ndugu yake nilipo kuwa shuleni. Alipo niona akalinganisha alivyo kuwa akiniona na nduguye. Aliniambia mimi nimepotea alienda kwao akaniletea mavazi nika badsilisha, nilioga pia nilikaa na kufikiria haya ni maisha gaini ninayoishi.

Nikaanza kuchukua mwelekeo mwingine. Nikaacha kulala kwa pipa, pia nikaacha kutumia vitu mbaya haina ya ulevi. Kuoga pia nikawa ninaoga kila siku, huyo nduguye rafiki akaniambia wakati wakulala ikifika niende kwao tulale chumba ambacho yeye hulala, nilifanya hivyo kama miezi mitano hivi. Nikafanya ujanja ya kusaka pesa, nikapata mavazi ninajinulia, chakula pia ninajitegemea nikaendelea kujizoesha kuishi kama mtu anaye jielewa kujimudu pia.

Lakini kutoka nianze haya maisha hadi nije kuyaacha, nilikuwa nimepitia mengi mno yasiyo sawa lakini. My Past Life

When I was young, I was living with my parents and I had a good life, and even went to school where I learned how to read and write.

When I ran away from home and school, I went to the streets. I started sleeping outside and scavenging because I had no food and even no clothes. I also used to use different kinds of drugs. While on the streets, I met my schoolmate’s brother who was very surprised because he compared how he used to see me with his brother and the way I was looking now. He went and brought me some clothes and I changed into them.

I took a complete turn. I was not sleeping outside anymore, I was not taking drugs, and I started washing myself. That friend invited me to sleep in his home for the duration of five months. I stole money to buy food and clothes for myself and to keep me going.

Since I started this street life, I have gone through many bad things, but God helped me to come out from this bad life. What I would like to tell others is that those experiences were just earthly trials. Those boys who are studying at their homes should study hard and not drop out of school. Life is hard. When you see me, you will see that I have completely lost direction in my life. I want to tell you boys who are studying to study hard so that education can help you in the future.

When you see young boys with money, they work for it. So for you, start working. Those are the ones who are unable to complete their education and who ran away from home. In the future, their lives can turn bad. So when you see someone who is looking for money and see that they are young, you know immediately that they ran away from home and stopped going to school.
